Many of the traditional designs found on MZ Made bags are taken from pre-Hispanic Zapotec ruins such as Mitla and Monte Alban. Each of these symbols has a deep cultural meaning to the people who weave them. We are honored to share these beautiful designs with the world.

Handmade by master Zapotec artisans Rocio + Omar in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Rocío learned the art of textile dyeing and weaving from her mother. She is a true artist who loves the creativity of creating unique patterns and combining colors in new ways. She loves getting to see her ideas become final products, and she is endlessly inspired by the natural world around her: the sunrise, the movement of birds, the colors of corn and other plants.

Your handmade item is made with premium wool, which naturally repels dirt, debris, and moisture. It requires less laundering than other fibers! Never use a washer or dryer.

For light cleaning, we suggest a cashmere brush. They are readily available online and in most craft and yarn stores.

For more intensive cleaning, we recommend eco-friendly dry cleaning.
